Clothesline Project
Located in the YWCA Lobby and also on display outside Macy’s in the Brookwood Mall
To raise awareness about the horrific effects of Domestic Violence. Victims, survivors and family members who have suffered the ill effects of domestic violence are given the opportunity to create a tee-shirt designed to send a message to the community about domestic violence.

Silent Witnesses
Located in the YWCA Lobby
The Silent Witnesses are used to raise awareness in regards to domestic violence homicides in Jefferson County. Each red silhouette represents an individual or family member that has died as a result of domestic violence.
October 1
“U Can Be Safe”
The project is a 12 hour domestic violence telephone resource hotline (12 noon-12 midnight) collaborating with Project SAFE, HICA, CCR, Girls Inc., and other community partners.
October 29th
Candlelight Vigil with Project Safe
Collaborating with Project Safe and other Community partners to host a candlelight vigil during domestic violence month to promote HOPE, HEALTH and HEALING in our community.
