Participants

Attendees will participate in self-assessment testing, develop a personal leadership plan and participate in eight full day sessions. Trainers include local leaders and national facilitators. Participants may be paired with a senior mentor or group of mentors as well as benefit by peer mentoring. They will also become mentors following program completion.
Each class will consist of up to 25 participants with diverse backgrounds, professions and civic experiences.

The following is the general profile of the target participant:

  • Hold a minimum of 10-years of professional or civic experience in her career and community
  • Possess significant program management experience
  • Have demonstrated leadership in high level projects or initiatives
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Plan to continue to reside in Alabama
Participants will:
  • Gain tools to step up to more difficult leadership challenges
  • Gain a broader perspective with greater diversification of ideas in decision-making
  • Leverage her affiliation with MOMENTUM resulting in an enhanced image in professional and civic endeavors
  • Learn from excellent national and local trainers and facilitators, as well as from participants in the program
  • Benefit from a mentoring relationship with an experienced local community leader or group of leaders. Click here for a list of mentors
