When
a home is no longer safe ground; when every day is a question of survival
under the harshest conditions. It's time to find sanctuary. At the
YWCA, we provide women and children with shelter, support, and opportunities
to reclaim their lives when tragedy strikes - from victims of domestic
violence to homeless families to women who simply have hit hard times.
You can be an integral part of helping these
victims become survivors through the many volunteer positions
at
the YWCA. Potential volunteers are asked to complete an application
and attend a training session with YW staff.
Due to the nature
of the services that the YW provides to women and children,
volunteers working with children, and in some cases, volunteers
working
with our domestic violence program, will undergo background checks. |
