Our Racial Justice Programs
We are proud to implement the Heritage Panel Program. As a part of this program, our staff facilitates conversations about tolerance and diversity with high school and middle school students. For more information about the Heritage Panel program, take a look at our page devoted to this program.
The YWCA Central Alabama will join more than 70 YWCAs and more than 1500 organizations around the world in hosting a Stand Against Racism. The Stand Against Racism Lunch & Learn, featuring the one woman show Too Many Questions: An Evening with Virginia Durr highlighting Birmingham native and Civil Rights activist Virgina Durr, will take place at the YWCA’s Kimerling Chapel (309 23rd Street North, Birmingham) on Friday, April 29th from 11:30 am-1:00 pm. All are invited to attend. Lunch will be provided.
