Summary:

The AmeriCorps Program Specialist is a team player who is comfortable being strong support for many different aspects of the AmeriCorps program. Though primarily administrative, this position also allows for the development of leadership skills.   

Essential Functions:

  • Use OnCorps (online system) to monitor AmeriCorps member timesheets to ensure compliance with CNCS expectations, including requesting that members and supervisors make necessary adjustments.
  • Manage FBI/ALEA background screenings
  • Ensure that members utilize payroll software properly and make corrections to missed punches as needed.
  • Supervise AmeriCorps team members in monitoring OnCorps and ensure compliance.
  • OnCorps training for supervisors and members.
  • Manage member files in coordination with the Coordinator of AmeriCorps.
  • Calculate, invoice, and collect fees from AmeriCorps partner agencies in coordination with Manager of AmeriCorps.

Competencies:

  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Forms
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team as necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two years' administrative experience
