February 13, 2012

More than 100 past and present YW Board and Junior Board members and community leaders attended the Annual Meeting of the YWCA Central Alabama on Tuesday, January 31.

The Family Resource Center is home to several new and exciting programs such as ArtPlay, Girls on the Run, Kids in the Kitchen, and the STAIR program.

The YWCA Central Alabama presented its Man of Valor Award during its Annual Meeting to a long time supporter of the YWCA, Judge Scott Vowell. Judge Vowell's work in the courts has made navigating the legal system less intimidating for the thousands that the YWCA has served seeking legal relief from domestic violence.

The YW would like to thank all past and present board members for their hard work and dedication to the mission of the YW.
