Stand Against Racism April 24

March 3, 2020

Nationwide, Americans are taking a Stand Against Racism April 23-26, 2020.  Will you take the pledge?

YWCA Central Alabama stands alongside YWCA USA "by raising awareness about the impact of institutional and structural racism and by building community among those who work for racial justice."

YWCA associations and allied groups across the nation are engaging their communities in events that address a myriad of racial justice issues that advance the work of justice and empower people of color. In Alabama, YWCA is hosting events that are open to our community partners and the public:

According to YWCA USA, "Stand Against Racism provides the opportunity for communities across the United States to find an issue or cause that inspires them to take a #StandAgainstRacism and to unite their voices to educate, advocate, and promote racial justice. Our collective efforts can root out injustice, transform institutions, and create a world that sees women, girls, and people of color the way we do: Equal. Powerful. Unstoppable."
