Domestic Violence Services Spotlight: DeShunn Wilkerson

October 8, 2013

In continuing our recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are highlighting domestic violence services the YWCA Central Alabama provides, along with video spotlights from our Domestic Violence Services staff members who assist in making these vital services available to our community. These video spotlights will feature YWCA Central Alabama staff members highlighting their experiences as domestic violence service providers. Check out the video below to see DeShunn Wilkerson, Crisis Line Coordinator and Outreach Specialist, share one of her experiences as a front line provider.

Also, please continue supporting our fight against domestic violence by supporting our collaboration with The Allstate Foundation through their Purple Purse Campaign. As a part of their campaign, Allstate sent purple purses carrying information about domestic violence to YWCAs across the country, including the YWCA Central Alabama, to pass along and raise money. Each time one of these purses is passed and checked in at PurplePurse.com, The Allstate Foundation will donate $5 toward our domestic violence services!

Please help support our services and visit PurplePurse.com  to register the purse code 01004
