YWCA Central Alabama will present YWe Fit: The Better Health Care for Women Resolution, a virtual discussion about the current state of health care. Mark your calendar for Jan. 7 at 10 a.m.
Let’s make a resolution to ensure all women will be heard when vocalizing their health concerns. Quite often women’s true medical needs are left unaddressed. While in the midst of a global pandemic, we are seeing just how important it is for women to have access to adequate and affordable health care.
The presentation will feature Dr. Lisa Jackson, the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Director of Cardiovascular Disease, and Dr. Kiersten Kennedy of UAB Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Joining them will be the YW's Dr. Idrissa Snider, Director of Social Justice, and Knetta Adkins, Coordinator of Community Education and Advocacy.
